Behind the Ihana Academy
It's me, Jenni Hieta - founder of Ihana Academy, photographer, mother, romantic.
I have been working as a professional photographer since 2016 and have achieved many amazing milestones along the way. These include competition success at the Finnish Photo Awards, where I won one gold and one bronze medal, as well as numerous honorable mentions. I have also earned the title of Master Photographer (VVI, Meat 2023) and the honor of European Photographer. These are all incredible achievements that I never even dared to dream about. But that's not why I created Ihana Academy.
My journey has been long and often lonely. I've learned everything myself, and even though you can make progress on your own, I want to offer you something more. A place where instead of loneliness, you feel a sense of community; a journey that is light and wonderful to travel; and insights that allow you to grow and create the life of your dreams.
This is what I do
I love creating painterly fine art images where a single picture tells a story. I mostly photograph newborns, families, and portraits.
My heart also holds a special place for narrative photography, where each picture is like a small poem – and together, they tell a complete story, a chapter of our lives.
